Fire Data Lab Grant Opportunities

Thanks to the partnership between WFCA, Intterra, and participating PSOs,
the Fire Data Lab is moving into its second year offering new funding
opportunities to the Fire Service.

WHAT IS THE FIRE DATA LAB?

In 2017, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) awarded the Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA) a grant to accelerate the creation of the Fire Data Lab (FDL). The FDL is a data warehouse that provides analytic tools to participating Public Safety Organizations (PSOs) in exchange for access to their performance data. The data comes directly from each PSO system and is anonymized for privacy and enhanced for data analytics.
